Shun-Nan Wu, Ph.D

Dr. Wu received Ph.D. in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography at the University of Miami, Florida and a Bachelor of Science at National Taiwan University, Taiwan. Dr. Wu grew up in Taiwan, which intrigued his interest in severe rainfall events. Prior to joining the University of Kansas, he was a research scientist at the University of Oklahoma. His research interests include understanding the dynamics of mesoscale convective system and tropical cyclone and their interactions with the larger-scale environment using satellite observations and numerical model simulations.
